Optional - Chandigarh Tour

Optional - Tour of Chandigarh planning in the works. A bus will pick up interested guests from Taj Hotel ~9:30am. Wear comfortable walking shoes or sandals. Bring your passport! This is required to continue on the Capitol complex tour. Next door to the shopping mall are plenty of good restaurants for anyone that wants food and/or drinks. Light snacks will be provided at the shopping center. Bus pickup from Taj Hotel - 9:15am-9:30am Capitol Complex tour - 10am-11:30am Bus will make a quick stop back at Taj Hotel for drop-off/pickup - 11:30am Shopping for outfit selections - 12pm-1:30pm Return to Taj Hotel ~ 1:30pm-2:00pm
Sangeet Party

Indian attire welcomed, or cocktail attire is appropriate: Wear saree, lehenga choli, Indian pantsuit, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, jackets and slacks.
Sangeet is more casual than the reception. Think smart cocktail attire, whether dressing in Indian or Western style. This event will be mainly outdoors. Temperatures will range ~75 F to 65 F while we are there. Any type of heel or dress shoe is fine (this will be at a restaurant, not a lawn). Busses transporting guests from Taj Hotel to venue, and back (~10minutes). Bus pickup time is 5:30pm-5:45pm at the Taj Hotel entrance. (Please try to plan on this pickup time). There will be a second pickup at 6:15pm for anyone that misses the first bus. The drive is ~10 min, so if you miss the bus or prefer an alternative, Uber is another available option. For return to hotel, the bus will be available for drop-off between the restaurant and Taj Hotel approx. every 30 min between 9:30pm-11:30pm.

Optional - Additional tour of Chandigarh and shopping. Bus will pick up interested guests from the Taj Hotel. We will go back to the same shopping complex on this day (in case guests have any items to pick up from the day before). Bus pickup from Taj Hotel - 11:30am-11:45am Rock Garden ~12pm-1:30pm Drop off at Taj Hotel ~1:40pm Shopping/Food & Drink options available next door ~2pm-3:30pm Drop off at Taj Hotel ~3:30pm Optional city sightseeing available afterwards.

India Wedding Reception

Semi-Formal: Indian attire encouraged. Suits and gowns also acceptable.
Lawn party, wear appropriate shoes. This event is outdoors, temperatures will range from around 85 F during the day to 65 F in the evening. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and bug spray is recommended as needed. For those who wish to wear a turban, turbans will be tied in the Taj Hotel lobby. You must show up at 2pm or 2:30pm so that no one is rushed. Your turban will then be tied between 2-2:30pm, or 2:30pm-3pm respectively. It takes ~5min per turban, so you are free once your turban is completed. You may keep the turban. If you wish to take if off later, that is fine, we just ask that you keep it with you and avoid placing it on the ground. The bus pickup time will be 3:15pm-3:30pm right at the Taj Hotel entrance. If you miss the bus or want to take alternative transportation, Uber is a good option. It takes ~30min to drive from the hotel to the venue. There will be a bus taking guests returning to the hotel, timing TBD.
