Frankie and I went to Shelton High School together, but that is not where our journey began. Frankie was the senior quarterback captain and I was a sophomore balancing the typical sports and academics life. When I was a senior, I had Frankie's Aunt Lynn as a teacher for Yearbook and mentioned to Lynn that I needed to get my hair done for senior banquet. Naturally, Lynn recommended her sister, Melissa Camerino (Frankie's mom). Since then, I would get my hair done by Melissa and conveniently Frankie would come through the door during my appointments or Melissa would talk about how Frankie said "how beautiful Alex is" when he saw me at the movies the night before. My mom, Luann, reached out to me and mentioned that Frankie knew someone who could help get me and my college friends a table at Shrine club in Foxwoods for my 21st birthday. When I had the opportunity to ask Frankie about it, I froze and didn't say a word. Later that day, my best friend Marisa took my phone, texted Melissa to get frankie's number and ask about the table. Naturally, I did not text frankie that night and the next morning started the conversation that never ended. We went on countless dates, with the first one ending up with me meeting Frankie's whole family. From getting through college and graduate years to finally moving in together in Nov, 2021… After many months of nagging, and possibly begging for a ring (I even asked Frankie to go into a one of a kind chicken coup jewelry store in GA), Frankie decided it was time and on May 14, 2022 got down on one knee. The last 6 years have been the most wonderful, we are the yin and yang to each other. We are excited for this journey ahead as Mr. and Mrs. Camerino and can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
