Fabio and his parents recently visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art and spent hours exploring its incredible exhibits. What can you see? Just about everything! One wing features a traditional Japanese home, while another showcases the works of Diego Rivera. Speaking of Rivera, we'll be seeing plenty more of his work during our honeymoon in Mexico City!
The Barnes is another must-visit museum in the city, featuring an interior designed to look like Albert Barnes’s former home and the museum’s original location.
Visit Independence Hall and check out the iconic Liberty Bell just across the street. We took a portion of our engagement photos right in front of it at Independence Mall, so it holds a special place in our hearts!
Experience Philly’s iconic Reading Terminal Market, a bustling indoor farmers' market that’s been a local favorite since 1893. With an incredible variety of vendors, you’ll find everything from cheesesteaks and fresh seafood to decadent desserts, housewares, and unique trinkets.
Grab a coffee and take a stroll through the Saturday Farmers' Market in Rittenhouse Square, open from 9/10am to 2pm. It’s the perfect spot to pick up fresh flowers, delicious pastries, and unique goodies, all while enjoying some great people-watching. We also love bringing Bean here to run around with the other dogs and chase the Philly wildlife (pigeons and squirrels).
A Rob Scott favorite—serving up incredible coffee that’s well worth a stop if you're in the neighborhood.
Middle Child is hands down one of our favorite spots in Philly, serving up some of the best sandwiches on earth. There are two locations in the city, but this one is the closest to The Switch House for those staying in the neighborhood.
An unforgettable Thai restaurant in Fishtown with a view of the open kitchen. Get the curry and thank us later! Reservations go fast, so we recommend booking ASAP.
A bakery & café by local legend Michael Solomonov just off of Rittenhouse Square. The Pistachio Sticky Buns are a must-try! Fun fact: Fabio proposed to Alex at K'Far’s Brooklyn location, then celebrated with their parents at Laser Wolf, Solomonov’s rooftop Israeli restaurant (which also has a location in Philly).
The pizza here is incredible—if you’re a pizza lover like us, you’ve got to grab a slice while you’re in town.
A top-notch Lebanese restaurant that we absolutely love. Don't sleep on their brunch!
A renowned Solomonov spot, this Israeli restaurant definitely doesn’t disappoint—the salatim is absolutely drool-worthy. We were first introduced to it a few years ago by our friends Tyler and Emily, and the NYC location became the backdrop for our engagement dinner.
Philadelphia’s longest continually operating bar, this dive is a local favorite. Alex and her Drexel friends spent plenty of time here during their college days!
