As 7th grade was quickly approaching, a mutual friend’s mother thought Alex and Emma should be friends. They bonded instantly (at Alex’s 13th birthday party) and have been best friends since then. Emma has technically known Ethan longer and they go back to their Saint John's elementary school days. Emma has a very amazing son, Tucker, she is the best road trip parter around and is always ready to feed Alex bread when she needs it.
Alex (Al) Kolpanen

Alex and Al grew up as true 90s kids in the same cul-de-sac. Their families have remained friends through the years. Al was Alex's first "boyfriend" back in the day but Alex "broke his heart," breaking up with him on the band bus to Florida. Ethan met Al at the beginning of 7th grade, quickly becoming best friends. Al's friendship with Alex helped foster the beginning of Alex and Ethan's relationship. Al experienced the same hardship as Ethan this past year. Their friendship was a key component in helping process losing their mothers at a young age.
Margo Lang

As an only child growing up, Alex always wished for siblings. Margo and Alex were friends through elementary school at OLP and spent a lot of time together playing dress up and Polly Pockets. When Julie and Lyle got married Alex and Margo finally each got a sister.
Dan Purkapile

Dan has always been a role model for Ethan, both as his older brother and as his longest friend. You might not believe it now, but as kids, Ethan used to hide behind Dan when in social situations. The two of them did everything together, from dirt biking to street luging to building ramps in the driveway. They continue to enjoy picking on one another and spending time together through their shared love of the outdoors.
Katrina Krueger

Katrina is the "baby" sister Alex always dreamed of having and was lucky enough to be involved in the large majority of Katrina's childhood. Katrina and Alex could not be more opposite, but it is opposites that attract. It was at a young age that Katrina realized that a marriage to Zac Efron or Justin Bieber might not be the most realistic so she set her sights on Ethan.
Ethan Reigel

Ethan and Alex attended Our Lady of Peace Elementary School together as well as danced together at Main Street Conservatory of Dance. The two Ethans first met in Middle School, quickly becoming friends. The two Ethans have stirred up all kinds of excitement throughout their friendship, frequently finding themselves in unique situations. During their senior year the Ethans would ride to their volunteering on Purk's motorcycle, wearing matching helmets. Ethan, Ethan and Al have continued their friendship one mile at a time on their yearly bike trips.
Heidi Hayes

There is always that one person that fate decides that you will be friends- that person for Alex is Heidi. They met at Winona State University on the 2 floor of Lourdes resident hall. Alex had pink icicle lights hanging in her room and they drew Heidi in. Alex had just come back from her Chemistry class and made an enjoyable cheese and mustard sandwich when Heidi invited herself in to “shake hands and be friends”. Alex with her awkwardness and Heidi’s bubbly personality were instantly connected. Heidi currently lives in Oshkosh with her husband Ryan, the beautiful Indie, and the most lovable furkids, Watson and Holmes.
Nick Cyskowski

Nick and Ethan met while working Project Crew together at the UW-Stevens Point. They quickly became best friends, realizing they were related through a distant family connection. Nick would routinely show up at Ethan's house with a six pack, fostering good conversation and a reliable friendship. Nick continues to be a part of Alex and Ethan's family, always ready for the next adventure.
Laura Black

Laura always wanted a sister. Ever since Alex and Ethan started dating, Laura treated Alex as just that, a sister. She has been a constant in Alex and Ethan's lives. Laura always pushed Ethan to do his best, from teaching him how to ride his tricycle to supporting him in his chosen career. During Laura's wedding, Ethan proclaimed he and Alex "would be next." Twelve years later, the proclamation is finally coming true.
Eric Black

Eric took the time from the beginning to create a relationship with Alex and Ethan since first dating Laura. He is a fantastic role model of what it truly means to be a family man and to put family first. Eric is always down for a good beer, great conversation and the next family adventure!
Isabelle Black

Isabelle has always felt like a part of Alex and Ethan's family. She has grown into an independent and beautiful young lady. Isabelle is very excited and honored to be Alex's junior bridesmaid!
Olivia Black
Flower Girl
Olivia is Alex and Ethan's bubbly niece. She may be small, but she has a HUGE personality! Olivia is more than excited to debut her first role as flower girl!
Stanley and Angus
Dog(s) of Honor
Stanley (4) and Angus (2) are the loving and adventurous doodles that call Alex and Ethan mom and dad. They can be found at the sides of their humans on most adventures including this next adventure - marriage.
