During the challenges and uncertainties brought on by the global pandemic a love story blossomed between Alexander and Tyra. Alex had added Tyra on social media and messaged her. The first thing she had messaged was asking if he was related to her family because of his last name. After figuring out that they were in fact not related they decided to meet. On this first night they discovered that they had someone very special to them in common that had passed away. They began getting to know each other as the weeks passed. Lockdown restrictions began in March of 2020 and Alex had asked Tyra to move in, so they quarantined together. Quickly realizing that this time together would either make or break their relationship. At this point they had only been dating for a few months before the pandemic hit, and now they were spending every waking moment together. At first, they enjoyed the novelty of being together all the time. They cooked meals together, binge-watched TV shows, and got to know each other. However as the days turned into weeks, and they began to discover new sides of each other that hadn't been seen before. The lack of personal space started to take its toll, and they found themselves bickering over little things that never seemed to bother them before. The stress of the pandemic and the uncertainty of the future weighed heavily on their relationship. Amidst the challenges, they also found moments of pure joy and love. They took care of each other when they got sick with covid 2 thanksgivings in a row, laughed at each other's jokes, and comforted each other during moments of fear and anxiety. They realized that in the middle of a global crisis, they had found a partner who was there for them no matter what. To this day they are learning and growing together one day at a time and can not wait to see what life has to offer their new family.
