It's true! Our story began over a decade ago in high school theater class, where we quickly struck up a strong friendship. While we briefly dated during high school, college and distance led us to part romantic ways. We reconnected years later when Tessanella moved to NYC on a dare, and Xander was still there after conservatory, pursuing acting. (Thanks in part to Sandy Black, who led us to realize we'd be living in the same city again.) After reconnecting as friends, it slowly became clear to both of us that our affection had stayed strong during the years apart, and nine months later we started dating again. And boy, was it fun! We went to Shakespeare in the Park every summer, filled piñatas with bagels for New Year's Eve, produced a virtual reality cabaret, and spent many adventures hand in hand. Over time, we both realized that every joyful moment seemed more vibrant with the other by our side, and when challenges arose, there was no one else we'd rather work through them with. After our relationship not only survived, but flourished after a 7-month road trip during Covid, co-founding a company, and five years of shared adventures, we were sure. Xander lovingly proposed the place where we met- onstage. After we had finished giving a presentation on virtual reality at Burning Man, he got down on one knee in front of a dome full of strangers, as well as some very dear friends. And, of course, I said yes. And now we've arrived at our wedding day! We're thrilled to have you here to share in the magic of the most important and joyous adventure we will share yet.
