We met officially at Senior Prom May 2021. I was invited by a former friend to go to prom with her group of friends, which included Elena, Handro, Ethan, and Alex. I thought Alex was attractive the moment I saw him. He just thought I was ok, haha. We started to hangout more, as events for seniors started to wrap up the year. Senior sunset, I fell for him more. He was funny, and his laugh was great. Our senior trip to Boomers is apparently when Alex started to like me, he doesn't remember what did it for him haha. By graduation practice early June, we both had big crushes on each other, and didn't realize it. He was so willing to impress me, he volunteered to be hypnotized by a magician Paso High hired to entertain us seniors, because I asked him to. We kept talking and soon the feelings we both had were realized, and we went on a date to see the Purge Forever movie that had come out July 7, 2021. Me, being the dummy I am, didn't think he actually liked me (Even though he held me through the entire movie), and was so in my head about it that I dodged his attempt to kiss me. I was so embarrassed, I had to text him to see if that was an actual date, and if we were a couple now. I am still embarrassed about this to this day. He has brought so much laughter and joy into my life, so when he schemed with my mother, sister, and friend Julie to propose to me at Sensorio, I couldn't help but say yes.
