Question

What kind of ceremony will this be?

Answer

A multi-cultural celebration of love, friendship, family, and interconnectivity! This will be an interactive and inclusive ceremony.

Question

Will I have to do anything at the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking you to bring to our ceremony (at Baylands Park) a 4" x 6" object that you want to share with us. It can be a photograph, a poem, a short writing, an image, a drawing, or anything else by which we can remember your presence with us on July 1. We will be incorporating what you bring into our ceremony and eventually making a commemorative scrapbook with these items!

Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP to the PaperlessPost invitation you received in your email by May 20, 2018.

Question

Which aiport should I fly into, San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco (SFO), and how do I get around?

Answer

We encourage you to fly into the San Jose Airport (SJC), if possible and economical, as it is very close to Wild Palms Hotel and Baylands Park (10 and 15 minutes respectively). Ridesharing apps such as Lyft and Uber are prolifically used in the Silicon Valley. Regarding transportation within the Bay Area, you may find car rentals to be more affordable than in other states. For individuals, ridesharing (particularly with LyftLine and UberPool) could be economical, especially if you plan to mainly hang around the Sunnyvale area (where the hotel and wedding are). If you will be coming with a family, we recommend car rental, as it will likely be cheaper than using ridesharing apps for mobility beyond transportation to and from the wedding site.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 2:30pm.

Question

When will the reception be over?

Answer

Baylands Park requires us to end our event by a half-hour after sunset. So we expect to be cleaned up and heading home by about 9:00pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

As mentioned on the "Schedule" page, we are most interested in you being comfortable and happy! If that means grandeur, then go for it. If that means simple slacks, be our guest. We've been calling it "festive," to accommodate the many cultures that will be represented here! Many people will be wearing elegant sarees, and others will be wearing simple summer dresses. The whole range is welcome. Just be sure to plan for light evening chill and for walking on grass/sandy areas.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please let us know ASAP! We'll do whatever we can to accommodate.

Question

Why is your FAQ so long?

Answer

We get asked a lot of questions... frequently!

For all the days along the way
