WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Please join us in your best semi-formal attire. For men, suits and ties are encouraged. We kindly ask that tan suits with white shirts be reserved for the groomsmen and the Father of the Bride and Groom. For women, cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are perfect, but please reserve shades of blue for the bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride and Groom. Most importantly, please reserve white for the Bride.

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?

Answer

We have two hotel blocks. One at The Courtyard Waterfront and another at The Charleston Marriott. Be sure to book at either hotel before April 13, 2026 to get the discounted rate. See our "Travel" tab for more information. There are some budget friendly hotels located in North Charleston and Summerville which are about a 25-30 minute drive to downtown Charleston.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE FOR THE CEREMONY/RECEPTION?

Answer

The Historic Rice Mill offers on-site parking for approximately 200 cars in an adjacent paid lot. The fee is $5.00 for the duration of the event.

WILL THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on the uncovered patio (weather permitting) and reception indoors.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE VENUE?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm, we recommend arriving 30 minutes early to park, find your seat, and settle in.

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

We respectfully request an adults-only celebration.

CAN I BRING A GUEST?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

ARE YOU SIGNED UP WITH A WEDDING REGISTRY SERVICE?

Answer

Your love and well-wishes are the most important gifts of all. If you would like to contribute, You can find our registry details on the "Registry" section of our website.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We kindly ask that our ceremony stays unplugged and phones/cameras are put away. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture our special day! We can't wait to take photos with you during the reception.

WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than March 31, 2026, using the QR code on your formal invitation, or by clicking the "RSVP" section of our website. If you do not RSVP in time, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us but the hangover is on you - so for this reason, we encourage you to drive wisely or take advantage of Uber or Lyft.
