In December, Sri Lanka’s southwest coast is entering its dry season so expect a warm (potentially humid), sunny day with temperatures around 27–30 °C. Our celebration will be held under a marquee, so even if there’s a brief shower, everyone will stay dry. The venue also has lots of palm trees, providing additional natural shade, and we’ll have coolers and fans to keep the space comfortable, rain or shine!
We’re keeping our celebration intimate, so we’re unable to accommodate additional guests. Only a handful of little friends are joining us on the day! If you’re unsure about anything, just reach out to one of us and we're happy to help.
Dress light and breezy for our tropical garden wedding. Comfort is key, so please opt for airy, breathable fabrics like silk, linen, or cotton. We’re on grass, so ditch the stilettos and go for flats or wedges that won’t sink in. Whether you choose a sari, a sundress, or a linen suit — just make sure you feel comfy and stylish!
The nearest international airport is Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) in Colombo. From there, Wadduwa is approximately 1 hour by car depending on traffic. We’re currently speaking with a taxi company at the airport to offer special rates for our guests. More details will be shared in a few months, so watch this space!
We are keen to have an informal mixer with our friends and family in Wadduwa on the 10th of December. We will share more information on this as soon as possible.
No, your presence is what we’re most excited about and we are so grateful you are spending your time and money to travel so far and celebrate with us. We kindly request no boxed gifts (including wine, as we’ll already have plenty of drinks on hand!) as we’re planning to travel after the wedding.
