From the beginning, there was an instant connection. We were both just drawn to each other. From the first time we met at a friends birthday dinner, to the after party that started our never ending love for each other. Others said you could just tell that we were in love. Sometimes a little too in love, but for us, love has no limits. After having a rather quick and unimaginable start to our relationship, we both knew that we were soulmates and that we would one day share the same last name, but just like any other couple, we had our bumps in the road and our arguments, but communication had always been number one for our relationship and we powered through those obstacles and came out even stronger and even more in love with each other. People say that your spouse should be your best friend, and let us tell you, no one will ever try to be our best friends because we are so weird its cringy, but it unites us and makes our love for each other that much stronger, weirder, but stronger. This is our beginning story without the juicy gossip and drama included, but believe us when we say that everyday leading up to the wedding is our beginning story because we have a lot of story left to write and a lot of love left to give to one another. Love bugs for life!
For about a month ahead of time, Alex had May 18th planned as the day we were going to play sand volleyball with Johnny and his girlfriend, Tani, and our friend Austin. I thought it was weird that he had an odd number of people to play, but I guess I would find out why on that day! The morning of May 18th, Alex and I went to the courts and Johnny and Tani were (supposedly) going to meet us there. Austin was there waiting and so with just 3 of us waiting I watered the courts, then Alex and I started warming up. I knew Alex’s shoulder/chest had been hurting him, so every time he hit he was wincing in pain. Then, he hit the ball again and bent over in pain with his right arm holding his chest. I was concerned that he hurt himself really bad and I went up to him asking if he was okay. Next thing I know, he’s on one knee, holding a box in his hands, and looks up at me with tears in his eyes and proposed! I immediately start crying and, of course, said YES! Austin (an amazing photographer) was there taking pictures of this special moment for us. Alex told me there was one more thing we were going to do and we just had to go home to change first. I walk in my quiet house and then see all our family and friends there to surprise me! It was so nice to have everyone there at such a special time and now we can't wait to have all the people we love together to celebrate our marriage!
