Alex and Kaitlyn’s story began in the hallways of high school. Innocent, effortless, and guided by a feeling neither of them could explain at the time. Kaitlyn noticed him first, thought he was cute, and decided to make a move. She had no idea that one simple conversation would become the beginning of everything. Their first date was a Friday night under the glow of stadium lights, wrapped in the excitement of a football game (Kaitlyn knew nothing about) and the kind of butterflies you only feel once. They still keep the ticket stubs from that night. A small, tangible reminder of the moment their lives shifted. Even then, something quiet and certain lived between them: this is the start of something real. As they grew up, so did their love. They followed each other to UW–La Crosse, both studying business management while building a life woven together through early morning barista shifts, late-night bartending shifts, and countless in-between moments. Through tired eyes, strong coffee, and nonstop schedules, one truth became clear — one is not without the other. Their bond felt like home, steady even when the world wasn’t. They’ve explored new places hand in hand, chased sunrises, gotten lost in little towns, and found adventure in the everyday. Whether they’re on a trail, boarding a plane, or sharing a strong shot of espresso before starting the day, they find magic in the simple things. The kind of magic that only happens when you’re with your person. Alex is the calm to Kaitlyn’s crazy. Her anchor, her steady breath, her soft place to land. And Kaitlyn is Alex’s spark.
