Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal/cocktail attire. Think 1920s attire, Ladies can wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Answer

We have a strict guest list to comply with Covid-19 rules. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

No. Only children of the immediate family will be welcome to the wedding, so that we can comply with Covid-19 restrictions.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Just please let the bride-to-be know so that arrangements can be made.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Due to covid restrictions we will no longer be gathering a day before or after the wedding.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

September in Buffalo, NY is tricky, but I think you’ll be safe with a light jacket if you get chilly. And possibly an umbrella in case of rain.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be taking place at The Old Orchard Inn, in East Aurora, NY.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Everything will be a mixture of indoors and outdoors. Indoors/ outdoors will have plenty of space to practice social distancing.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Yes, but due to covid we’ve scaled it back. So the theme is a low key 1920s speakeasy vibe

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed, but we understand that there is a Pandemic and your health/ safety is our main concern. If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive an 30mins before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is July 15th. You can mail back your RSVP or on our website, there is a section you can RSVP.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Yes to all if the above. But if you need something more, PLEASE let the bride-to-be know, so that special arrangements can be made.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #EatDrinkAndBeFrancis so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
