Things To Do

Jeannine's Restaurant & Bakery

1253 Coast Village Road, Montecito, CA 93108
, (805) 969-0088

This is a favorite breakfast spot! (they have 2 locations: one on state street in SB and one in Montecito on Coast village) First come first served — the earlier you get there the better! Erin’s favorite dish is the lobster eggs benny! Alex’s favorite dish is the American breakfast!

Renaud's Patisserie and Bistro

1187 Coast Village Road, Montecito, CA 93108
, (805) 324-4200

Another favorite breakfast spot! Usually a little less crowded than Jeanine’s, especially if you aren’t an early riser. Erin and Alex both love the Egg Ham and Cheese croissant but Alex really loves to go for their pastry case.

Santa Barbara Shellfish Company

230 Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara, CA 93109
, (805) 966-6676

Take a walk down the pier. ALL the way down, past the tourist stops to the shack on the end. Santa Barbara Shellfish is a Bennett Family favorite. Try the local crab and fresh catch! They don’t take reservations so just write your name on the list and wait for them to call you! There is a side window where you can get food to go or order a drink and app while you wait.

Brophy Bros.

119 Harbor Way, Santa Barbara, CA 93109
, (805) 966-4418

Another great spot for seafood! Located upstairs it has a great view of the Harbor. If you sit at the bar make sure to say hi to Ara! Erin’s favorites are the garlic baked clams and ceviche. Alex loves the fish and chips.

A-Frame Surf

3785 Santa Claus Lane, Carpinteria, CA 93013
, (805) 684-8803

Want to learn to surf? These guys are the best! Erin and her family all learned to surf with the A-Frame crew. Her brother, Carson, even went on to teach for many summers! It’s a bit of a drive out of SB but totally worth it. The waves are small enough for first-timers but exciting enough for those who have surfed before. A-Frame has everything you need!

Santa Barbara Sailing Center

302 West Cabrillo Boulevard, Santa Barbara, CA 93101
, (805) 962-2826

Want to try Paddle boarding or kayaking? The harbor is the perfect place to go! The water is nice and calm then if you are feeling brave you can paddle out to the open water. Keep an eye out for beautiful boats, curious seals and colorful starfish. The sail center also has guided excursions and sailing trips available!
