~Narrated by Alex Otto Cinthya and I met for the first time in late October of 2023. After many long nights of texting back and forth and sending pictures of our cats…this beautiful woman agreed to go get sushi. As soon as our eyes met, I was like BAMN this is the girl for me. She strutted in with an air of confidence and this boss woman's power suit. *Whistles* Absolutely stunning! We casually chitchatted about our lives and what led us to this moment. It was a good date... but it wasnt over yet! She may be upset for mentioning this part…but on the way out I walked her to the car and she was "unable to find it". So valiantly, I walked her around trying to find the car. We walked and talked, drove around and finally found the car! and knew we had something real. Good thing I didn’t mention Lord of the Rings... am I right??
-Narrated by Cinthya In September 2024, Alex visited Sonora and Mexico for the first time to meet with my parents and secretly ask for permission to marry me. When we meet with my parents it was a beautiful moment, we all got along very well and Alex’s Spanish skills were great to communicate properly even when I was not around!! My parents gave their blessing and the very next day he proposed in a trip to San Carlos with my best friends. It was magical and beautiful.

Sonora is known all over Mexico for having the best beef, and here in San Carlos you’ll find carne asada cooked the traditional way: grilled over mesquite wood, served with fresh tortillas, salsa, and all the fixings. Since San Carlos sits right on the Sea of Cortez, the seafood is just as amazing. You’ll find fresh shrimp, scallops, clams, fish, and ceviche everywhere, perfect for enjoying by the beach with a cold drink. Between the grill and the sea, you’re definitely going to eat well here!
