As soon as you can, but by August 21st at the latest.
The cats will not be at the wedding, but they will be watching via closed circuit television.
A registry is, like, a state of mind, man. Or just click the link at the top of this page.
No way! There’s ample ridesharing, electric scooters, bike share, buses, light rail, and regular old sidewalks to get wherever you need to go. The light rail (MAX) is also available from the airport.
Even though we'd recommend using Uber or Lyft, If you MUST drive to the wedding, there are plenty of options: Pearl District Parking Garages Parking garages and surface lots are scattered throughout the area. The closest City Center Parking lots are #102, #177, #138, and #12. Pearl District Street Parking Policies If you have the Parking Kitty app, enter zone 1002, or pay at one of the kiosks.
We hope not, but this is the PNW! It should be sunny and warm in mid-September, though it can be cool at night.
Marijuana is legal here, though smoking is not allowed at our venue. Some dispensaries we recommend are Bridge City Collective, Serra, Electric Lettuce and Best Buds.
Jackets and slacks for the men; dresses or pantsuits for the women. Socks with sandals for absolutely no one, please.
We saw each other across a crowded room. We met cute at a bookstore. We took classes together. We met online dating. We were opposing counsel. We were at a Dave Matthews Band concert. It’s definitely one of the above.
Southeast Asia! Alexander will use all of his travel writing hacks to show Ashley an amazing time and explore somewhere new together on an adventure.
We plan to see friends in Hong Kong, where we’ll eat dim sum, ride the Star Ferry, visit the Happy Valley racetrack and marvel at how much easier it is to get to and from the airport compared to anywhere in the United States. Then we’ll sun ourselves on a beach in Ko Samui, though we both know Ashley is the one that will do the sunning and Alexander will be waving at her from a shady spot while sporting a floppy sun hat. After that? Bangkok, where we’ll explore the side streets and eat some amazing meals, try not to get snookered by the gem store and wat touts, and take the river tour because ya just gotta. Then? We’ll visit the temples of Chiang Mai, the elephants of Chiang Rai and the monks of Luang Prabang before returning home to Portland, traveling 36 hours in in a single day, thanks to the miracle of the international dateline. It’s gonna be amazing, and by the end, Ashley may even like foods with fish sauce.
Honestly, they're just as mad about it as you are.
