Things To Do

We're so excited to share some of our favorite places in Bar Harbor with you all!

Beehive Trail

This is one of Acadia's most well known hike's where you get to climb up the edge of the mountain using ladder rungs built into the trail. This trail is a 1.5 mile loop where you will get views of the rugged Maine coast and Sand Beach. This trail leaves from the Sand Beach parking lot.

Ocean Path Trailhead

Bar Harbor, ME 04609

This easy 2.2 mile one way trail starts at Sand Beach. This trail follows the road and will bring you to sights like Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs.

Jordan Pond House Restaurant

Stop in at Jordan Pond House for lunch and try their famous popovers and take some pictures by Jordan Pond.

Cadillac Mountain

Cadillac Mountain

Drive or hike up Cadillac Mountain. This is the first place to see the sunrise on the east coast. A vehicle reservation is required to drive up the mountain. Be sure to make them using the link above.

Bass Harbor Head Light Station

116 Lighthouse Road, Tremont, ME 04653

Drive out to see the lighthouse in Bass Harbor. After you visit the lighthouse hike the wonderland trail. It is 1.3 miles and at low tide is a perfect place to explore tide pools.
