How We Met

Growing up in Austin, on opposite ends of Riverside Drive, we both went to high school here, Adi at Del Valle and Alexander at LASA. We even attended the same HS soccer matches - Adi cheering and Alexander playing! And despite us both attending the University of Texas, it wasn’t until Alexander liked Adi’s Hinge photo in 2021 that this love story began. Adi was charmed by his blurry selfie and the surprise appearance of Bun, the family rabbit. She couldn’t resist starting the conversation that eventually led to this happily ever after. Our first date was a virtual FaceTime while Adi was quarantined in Colombia due to COVID. The Wi-Fi was spotty, and there were several long pauses, but we already knew we had found something special. Finally, after coming back to Austin, a stroll along the Hike and Bike trail downtown was the first of many in person dates! Now, we often look back at how close we were throughout the years but somehow never met. I guess it didn't help that we would both spend hours studying on the 6th floor of PCL (the quiet floor). Thank you, destiny (and technology!) for bringing us together. We’re so excited to begin the next chapter of our journey!
