Answer
Chania is a beautiful coastal city on the northwest side of Crete, the largest Greek island. It’s known for its Venetian harbor, charming old town, and stunning beaches.

✈️ How do I get to Chania?
Answer
There are a few travel options: Option 1: Fly to Chania (CHQ) You can fly into Chania International Airport (CHQ) via connecting flights from many major European cities. In spring, some direct international flights may operate, especially from major hubs like London, Paris, or Frankfurt. Option 2: Fly via Athens (ATH) Fly into Athens International Airport (ATH) first, then take a domestic flight to Chania (approx. 1 hour). Multiple daily flights are available via Aegean Airlines, Sky Express, and Ryanair. Option 3: Take a Ferry from Athens You can also travel from Athens (Piraeus Port) to Crete by ferry. Overnight ferries to Chania (Souda Port) run regularly and take about 9 hours. This is a great option if you'd like to see more of Greece and enjoy a relaxing journey. 💡 Tip: Book flights and ferries early—April is the beginning of the tourist season.

🚕 Do I need a car?
Answer
If you’re staying in or near Chania Old Town, you may not need a car. Most attractions and venues are walkable or accessible by taxi. However, renting a car is a great idea if you want to explore Crete before or after the wedding!

Answer
Transportation will be arranged for guests between select accommodations and the wedding venue. More details will be provided closer to the date.

👗 What is the dress code?
Answer
This will be a black-tie event. Think elegance and formality. For women: Full-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses Heels or formal flats (consider wedges for cobblestone streets and grass at the venue!) For men: Tuxedo or formal dark suit with a tie or bow tie The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, so please bring a light wrap or jacket in case it cools down in the evening.

Your presence is the greatest gift, anything else is completely optional. Should you choose to give a gift, we have included a registry. Please see the registry tab located within the wedding website.

👶 Are children welcome?
Answer
We truly love your children, but due to the nature of our destination wedding and the setting of our events, we have chosen to keep the celebration adults-only. We hope this getaway can be a chance for you to relax, unwind, and celebrate with us in a beautiful setting! We understand that traveling without children can require extra planning, and we deeply appreciate you making this special trip.

🛂 Do I need a visa to travel to Greece?
Answer
U.S., Canadian, UK, and EU citizens do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your date of travel.

🎟️ Will there be any other wedding-related events?
Answer
Yes! We are having a Welcome Reception for all guests where we will be serving cocktails the day before the wedding. The day after the wedding, we will have a come and go style event to hang out at the Villa where the bridal party is staying! Please see the "Schedule" page for more details.
