We went to middle and high school together and had mutual friends, but never really hung out. Every summer we volunteered at a science day camp where we both served as camp counselors. (Yes, we know we are geeky!) In June of 2018, something was different though. We started hanging out almost everyday after this camp. At this time, I was working at Chick-fil-a and I thought it was just a coincidence that he came to eat there with friends a few times while I was working. Turns out it wasn't, he just wanted to see me. Alex asked me on our first date a couple of weeks later, and we expeditiously fell in love! Although we went to different colleges, we continued to date and never stopped pursuing one another. We have enjoyed many movie nights, beach trips, and spontaneous adventures in our dating years! On September 17, 2022 I thought we were going to the Botanical Gardens to take pictures with his family. They did a great job throwing me off the whole week, so I was convinced we really were going to take family pictures! When we got there, Alex said we should go on a walk. As we got further and further into gardens I kept saying "Alex we need to wait for your family, we are going to get lost!" When we got to a beautiful spot, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! Afterwards, he had planned a surprise party and all of our favorite people were there! It truly was the best day of my life! I am so excited to spend forever and eternity with you Alex!
