Alex and Emily first met in 2017. Alex sat in on Emily's job interview for a college job at Arizona PBS. In late 2018, after several baked goods were exchanged, they became friends and fell in love! Seven years, two dogs, hundreds of adventures, and countless Chipotle bowls later they are getting married!
Alex came to Emily's apartment to eat pizza and watch the TV show Handmaid's Tale. When he went to pet Little Grey (Emily's cat) for the first time he shocked her. After many treats, Alex and Little Grey's relationship has recovered and flourished.
Emily and Alex love taking walks, making pizzas, and traveling. We've traveled to Italy, Portugal, Mexico, New York, California, and Oregon. We're still deciding where to take our Honeymoon.
He's inherently kind and generous. He has a lot of integrity. He is supportive and extremely patient. He writes the most beautiful cards. He works hard and dreams big. He has an amazing laugh and he's super handsome. We've built a great partnership and I know he's going to be an amazing dad one day.
Her sense of humor. Her natural compassion and empathy. Her Type A personality that keeps us (me) on track. Her baked goods (crack). And the effort she always puts in to make things feel thoughtful and special. From day one, it was obvious that Emily and I make a great team. We balance each other, we show up for each other, and I know without hesitation that we can handle whatever life throws at us.
Emily adopted Little Grey the cat (also known as LG) in college shortly before meeting Alex. Little Grey still prefers Emily for cuddles but when there's chicken or leftover cereal milk, Alex is her best friend. One week after getting engaged, Alex and Emily adopted two sonoran black-faced pugs: Phoebe and Ellie. Little Grey has slowly grown to love her crazy new sisters. Phoebe and Ellie respect their sister but dream of the day when they can all play together. Phoebe and Ellie's nicknames include: the girls and the squirrels.
