Are kids welcome?
Answer
Unless otherwise specified on your invitation, we ask you to please leave the little ones at home. Tonight is a night for everyone to relax, be together and have fun! Treat yourselves to a date night! If you would like recommendations for babysitters in the Durham area, please let us know and we can provide a well-vetted list!

Only folks listed on the invitation/RSVP are invited to the wedding. We are hoping to keep this an intimate affair with family and close friends.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Our wedding is Festive Cocktail attire - color is welcome and encouraged! Guests should wear suits, pantsuits, jumpsuits, cocktail-length or floor-length dresses. We do ask that guests wearing dresses, pantsuits, or jumpsuits to please avoid wearing any shade of white. Other than this, please feel free to be creative! Whatever brings the most joy to the celebration - frills, shimmer, sparkles, accents, patterns - are welcome! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive no later than 4:45pm!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is parking available around the Rickhouse, however it is limited and shared with other places in the area. There are a few hotels within walking distance and it is encouraged you to either walk or ride share if possible!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the venue?
Answer
There will not be transportation provided from hotels to the venue. It's recommended that you either walk (if within walking distance!), ride share (Uber, Lyft or taxi), or carpool!

Elizabeth, will you be changing your last name?

I am super excited to be blending Alex’s and my families together! But, I will be keeping my last name. In the future, we might look at hyphenation, but after the wedding we will still be Elizabeth Romary and Alex Velto!

So I love the Save the Date, but what are all the places?
Answer
Glad you asked! In letter order: A - Boston. Specifically the green line for the T. Alex went to college in Boston and that was the place where Elizabeth met some of his close friends! L - Cordoba, Spain. Spain and Portugal was one of the first big trips Alex and Elizabeth took together once they started dating, along with Elizabeth's parents! One of the favorite parts of the trip were touring the flower-covered patios of Cordoba! E - Dubrovnik, Croatia. Alex and Elizabeth went to Croatia on a 10-day trip in July 2022 and it was one of the best trips they have ever taken! X - Dublin, Ireland. Specifically St. Patrick's tower, an old out-of-use windmill. This tower sat right outside the very first apartment Alex and Elizabeth ever shared together! & - Washington, DC, where Alex and Elizabeth currently live! (Ok, fine, they live in Arlington, VA but it's 2 metro stops away from DC) E - Oxford, MS, specifically the City Grocery bar balcony. Elizabeth went to college at the University of Mississippi and Alex finally got to visit in September, 2023. And both nights spent there were ended at City! L - Cape Town, South Africa. The site of Alex and Elizabeth's official first date. Alex flew to South Africa and met Elizabeth for several days of touring Cape Town and back up to Namibia to see where she was living. And they saw penguins! I - Namibia! This is an illustration of the Skeleton Coast, near Swakopmund - the site of Alex and Elizabeth's second official date. The dunes crash into the ocean, a rare phenomenon that doesn't really occur anywhere else in the world. Background - Durham, NC - where Alex and Elizabeth are getting married!
