The Farmers Market at IX
This is our MASSIVE Saturday morning farmer’s market that is open from 8 AM-12 PM every weekend. Go check out the array of produce, jewelry and locally made art, baked goods, flowers, and food trucks.

Hands down the best oven-fired pizza in all of Charlottesville. This is their dine-in location, but they also have a pick up only location at 929 Second Street SE.

Best Thai food in the entire city. Great spot for lunch and dinner, including a lovely outdoor patio that is just divine when the weather is nice.

Otto Turkish Street Food
You can’t go wrong with a bowl or wrap from this iconic Turkish restaurant. Highly recommend their falafel and rosemary fries. Great for lunch or dinner.

Ragged Mountain Nature Area
Great spot for moderate hiking with paths of various lengths along one of the biggest man made reservoirs in the area. 🥾

Great soups, salads, and sandwiches located on one of the side streets of the downtown mall. Highly recommend for lunch.
Rivanna Trail
This is the entrance to River View Park and the Rivanna River Walking Trail, which provides a flat, leisurely stroll along the river.

This is our favorite local brewery! They make incredible craft brews in a laid back, unpretentious environment. They also have a location on the downtown mall. 🍻
Saunders-Monticello Trail & Kemper Park Parking lot
This is one of our favorite walks in the area. It is a beautiful, cleared 4 mile trail that eventually ends at The Monticello Visitors Center. Moderately challenging on a slight incline while walking up.
Shenandoah Joe Coffee Roasters
Phenomenal coffee in a laid back, open atmosphere. Located a few blocks away from the downtown mall.

Fun, retro craft brewery fully outfitted with a disco ball and nods to musical acts both locally and globally famous. 🪩

Walnut Creek Park
Located right outside of town, Walnut Creek Park is one of favorite locations to hike. There are lots of moderately challenging trails that circle a large reservoir.
