FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

March 15th, please and thank you. (Also, sorry, we know that's a quick turn around!)

Question

What time should we get to the venue?

Answer

We would suggest getting there at 6pm. We'll have a welcome drink and appetizers waiting for you, and the ceremony will start shortly after at 6:30pm.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

So here's the deal. This venue has a tight guest maximum. We wish we could invite all of your wonderful (or not wonderful) children, but if we did that the wedding would be all children... because a lot of y'all have children. Your invite should have the number of guests that we've reserved for you on it. We respectfully ask that you stick to that number. (Also, it's a good excuse to hire a babysitter and let loose a little)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Somewhere between "Dressy casual" and "Garden Party". The ceremony and reception will be outside, so wear what's comfortable for that and makes you feel beautiful.

Question

How will your registry work if you all are moving to Portugal?

Answer

As you may (or may not?) know, we're moving to Lisbon shortly after the wedding. Unfortunately, this makes setting up a registry a little tricky since none of the stores here ship to Portugal! So what we've done is found all the items we'll need to set up our new home that are sold in Lisbon stores. We've listed each item as a cash fund, so that we can buy the items in person when we get there. Thank you so much for helping us get started in this new chapter of our live!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yep! There will be a guard station when you drive into the community that will check your name against the guest list. They will be able to direct you to the parking area. Or if you've got a phone, just enter the address (400 Woodbridge Rd, Longwood, FL)

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unless you plan to stay at the hotel the whole weekend, you'll probably need to rent a car if you're coming from out of town. However, we have picked out a hotel that is within 10 minutes driving distance of the venue, which should make it pretty easy to Uber if you don't want to worry about drinking/driving.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please (pretty please) stick to the number of guests that we send on your invite, as well as to the specific people that you RSVPed for. We have to give the venue a guest list that can't be changed at the last minute. If someone unexpected shows up, the friendly gate guards won't let them through (their rules, not ours).

Question

Will there be drinks?

Answer

If by drinks, you mean water, soda, and tea...yes. If by drinks, you mean alcohol...also yes, very much yes.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Not only will there be food, there will be the best damn BBQ you've ever had in your life. Unless you're from Austin, then it'll be the 2nd best damn BBQ you've ever had.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

You'll literally be dancing in the moonlight...because the reception will be outside. So get ready to grab a drink and dance the night away under the romantic backdrop of the gorgeous springs and giant oak trees.

Question

We love you.

Answer

We love you too. Also, that's not a question.
