FAQs

Question

Is there a welcome event?

Answer

We have opted for an informal welcome event. We will be at the Aloft Hotel's bar from 6pm to 8pm on Friday June 26th if you would like to say "hello" before the big day. There is no obligation to attend, nor do you need to let us know you are coming.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception being held at the same venue?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are at the same venue. Cocktail hour will be held in the Cleveland Aquarium while our venue flips for dinner. All events will be inside.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Please adhere to a formal dress code. We request that dresses are ankle or floor length. If wearing a suit or tuxedo, opt for a tie and jacket. No jeans please!

Question

What is the wedding party wearing?

Answer

Our wedding party is wearing black. Dresses are black satin and tuxedos are black. As a guest, we would love for you to wear your favorite colors and patterns, especially if they are big, bold, or bright. Please refrain from white or shades of white.

Question

Is it an open bar?

Answer

Yes. While not necessary, you are more than welcome to bring cash to tip the bartenders.

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Our venue has a large, gated parking lot with a security team to ensure your vehicle is safe while you celebrate with us. Parking in this lot is validated. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft do not have to pay to drop you off.

Answer

Yes, our venue does include a patio where smoking is allowed.

Question

Answer

Unless specifically indicated on your invitation, please refrain from bringing a plus one.

Question

May I bring my child?

Answer

We have chosen to limit children to close family and friends. Unless your invitation is addressed as "The ____ Family", please refrain from bringing your children.

Question

Is the reception family-friendly the entire evening?

Answer

Nope! Around 9pm, our DJ will make an announcement that the music will shift to a more "adults-only vibe". Expect it to get louder and more risqué. In true Northeast Ohio fashion, there will also be a mosh pit set to classic emo jams.
