If I'm flying in, which airport is best to choose?

Answer

The three airports we recommend (as closest and most convenient to the wedding venue) are San Diego International (SAN), Ontario International (ONT) and John Wayne Airport (SNA). Los Angeles (LAX) is an additional option, however traffic there/nearby/to the wedding venue is pretty insane and, if you can avoid it, we recommend it!

Is there an official hotel/block of rooms for the wedding?

Answer

The official hotel WILL be the Pala Casino Spa Resort, although we are still in the process of securing an official block of rooms/discounted rate (as Pala continues its re-opening following the COVID-19 pandemic).

What activities/sites would you recommend if I'm making this a longer trip?

Answer

How should I pack for Southern California in February?

Answer

Depending on your native climate, the typical "winter" weather in Southern California can be on the chilly but still sunny side (i.e. around 60 degrees in the daytime). As the Temecula Valley and surrounding areas are inland from the ocean, temperatures are more desert-like (i.e. hot afternoons, cold evenings) than they are near the coast, and we definitely have less inclement weather and more sunshine! That said, do plan on packing jackets/sweaters/pants, and we highly recommend "dressing in layers" during the day.
