Our story began on the day after Christmas in 2020 when I joined my friend Leighton and her then-fiancé, now husband, Lofton, for drinks in Murray Hill. I found myself seated next to Crockett, who was passing through Jacksonville on his way to his new job in Las Vegas. Shortly after I left, Leighton sent me a text and invited me over for sushi the next day, making sure to let me know Crockett would be there. I went, and what was meant to be a casual sushi night evolved into Crockett asking me out to dinner. This turned into a whirlwind week of dates and getting to know each other. When he finally left Jacksonville for Las Vegas, he asked if I would come to visit him. I rolled the dice and hopped on a plane. Over the course of two years, our relationship revolved around meeting each other halfway across the country for adventures and spending time together. In 2022, Crockett moved back to Jacksonville. But our love story wouldn't be complete without mentioning our puppy Cricket, who came into our lives in January 2023. With Cricket as his emotional support animal, Crockett proposed at home on April 20th, 2023. We chose Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Farm as the venue for our wedding because it was one of our early adventures when we first started dating. Los Poblanos is a special place that holds fond memories for us, and we're excited to celebrate with close friends and family!
