The Wedding Website of Cristal Hibbard and Alex Wing
Ceremony location and Parking Map. In a pinch? Have a question? Call Cory (Maid of Honor/Sister of the Bride): 970.901.9343
Question

How far is the drive up to the ceremony location?

Answer

We recommend allowing 45 minutes to drive from the Archview Campground.

Question

Is there a fee to enter Dead Horse State Park?

Answer

Entrance into the park has been taken care of for all of our guests, just make sure to mention you are with the Hibbard/Wing Wedding. It's good for the entire day, so if you're interested in exploring the park, we certainly encourage going up early and checking it out!

Question

Where should we park for the ceremony?

Answer

Parking is limited in this area of the park. Please carpool with other guests as much as possible! There is a small parking area across the road from the ceremony site that is reserved for our guests, please park as tightly as possible to allow for the maximum amount of cars. Another option is to park at the Visitor Center. We have arranged to have someone shuttle folks to the ceremony site from there, otherwise it's a (beautiful) 25 minute walk on the hiking path. As noted on the invitation, guests should not park at the Overlook for the duration of the ceremony. (Parking at the Overlook while visiting that area of the park is totally fine though, just make sure to move before we get started to allow room for other visitors and tour buses - this is a popular time to visit Moab!)

Question

Are there restrooms at the Ceremony site?

Answer

Nope - it's a primitive spot. Restrooms are located at the Overlook (10 minute walk on the paved path from the Ceremony site) and at the Visitor Center.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

The weather in Moab during this time of year is usually really pleasant - warm and sunny during the day (shorts! sunscreen!) and cool at night (definitely bring some layers). BUT you just never know, it could be windy/rainy/snowy/very hot - please check the weather before coming down so you aren't caught unprepared. Moab is a big playground, so don't forget gear for whatever you're into: hiking, paddling, swimming, biking, skydiving, climbing, etc. There are plenty of options in town for gear rental, guided excursions, gear purchases, etc. in case you forget something or would like to try something new!

Question

How do I adjust my reservation at the Archview? (or clarify some details, cancel, confirm, etc.)

Answer

Cristal is managing the group reservation, so contact her directly to make any changes (wibbards@gmail.com or 970.596.7366). Unless we've heard otherwise from you, we're holding a spot for your party (campsite or cabin). Details and price should have been included on the invitation - please let Cristal know if something doesn't look right, you need fewer/more nights, you want to join up and share a space with another party, you've decided to stay somewhere else, or whatever else may come up.

Question

How do I pay or check-in for accommodations?

Answer

The Archview Campground office is located in the gas station convenience store. Upon arriving, check-in for your space will be available under your name. Payment is required at check-in.

Question

What's the drink situation?

Answer

Welcome to Utah! It is not legal to bring any alcoholic beverage into the state of Utah, for any purpose. That being said, it can be prohibitive to do all your drink shopping in Utah (expensive, limited store hours, limited selection, it's warm, etc.). We will be providing beer and wine for the BBQ and Reception (and mixing supplies, so BYO hard alcohol if that's your thing). If you'd like to have some drinks at the campground for other days, please make sure to plan around the limited hours of the state-run liquor stores or bring it with you from a neighboring state - with full knowledge of Utah's laws. On the upside, the campground store does sell ice!

Question

Is there cell service?

Answer

Cell service is great in the town of Moab, but can be spotty to non-existent at the campground/reception location and up at Dead Horse State Park, depending on your provider. We recommend bringing your invite or other hardcopy reference just in case.

For all the days along the way
