We met on Bumble in 2018, though Alex wasted no time in setting up an in-person date at Corinne's favorite wine bar in NYC (a lucky pick!). By contrast, Corinne was 28 minutes late (blame the MTA!). Fortunately Alex waited, and Corinne hasn't been late again. We initially bonded over our mutual connection to Cincinnati, OH, and though much was left in the "agree to disagree" column (Skyline Chili, the Ohio State Buckeyes...) our shared backgrounds and values were a stable foundation to build a relationship on. One date led to another, and all the while Alex was busying applying to business schools. His picks were exclusively outside of the NYC area, leading Corinne to refer to Alex as her "practice boyfriend" for the first several months of their relationship. Two years of long-distance, a cross-country move, and one wedding later, Alex claims that practice clearly makes perfect.
