It was May 22, 2017, summer was just about to hit Las Vegas. Alex and Chelley had no idea that their lives was about to change that day. The story on how they met was very modern ... from a dating site... Not tinder or match.com (not that there's anything wrong with that) can anyone guess ?? As the saying goes "Believe that when something is meant to be, it will happen.. At the right moment .. for the best reason with the right person". When their path crossed both of them was just casually browsing through and not expecting anything out of it. When Chelley saw Alex's profile on that website she thought Alex was cute but she was reluctant to reach out and ended up not doing anything. The following day Alex's profile was gone, nowhere to be found and she thought gone forever. To her surprise that very same day it was Alex who found her profile reached out and expressed his interest to chat. Chelley took that as a sign that they were destined to meet. The first meeting was a success, their conversation flowed effortless and it seems like they can talk for hours about anything and everything. The two lovebirds had a mutual feeling that there's a special connection between them as if they had known each other for a long time. The couple believed that throughout life you will meet one person who is like no other. Someone you're comfortable with and you don't have to pretend to be anyone or anything. When your heart tells you to take that leap of faith and trust again ... smile, laugh, hold hands .. to give LOVE a chance and that is exactly what they did ... A sweet beginning for Alex's and Chelley's forever. ...
I proposed to Chelley on her Birthday, December 14th, 2019 in Calgary, Canada. If anyone knows Calgary winter weather, a warm Chinook can move the temperature from freezing to balmy in December. It is often unpredictable. However, this day was sunny and clear blue skies. It was meant to be. We began this special day with a birthday breakfast at an intimate restaurant on Princess Island Park. My plan was to propose to her outside somewhere. As we walked to the restaurant along the park pathway I noticed a small dock facing the Bow River. This was perfect. After we enjoyed our breakfast I took her for a stroll toward the dock. My biggest fear was dropping the ring in the river because that's something I would, being a Klutz. I opened the box with the ring inside (it didn't fall in the river whew! ) and I proposed to her. She said Yes! It was a special moment I will never forget. Thank you for saying yes Chelley . XOXO
