Best biscuit of all time. Get yours with egg and Virginia ham.
Great little coffee shop with excellent espresso.
If you don't do anything else in Richmond, at least make sure you get down to Belle Isle. There's a walking trail that's just over a mile. It starts with a really cool foot bridge that goes over the James River and then loops around the island.
Come here on Friday night to listen to live jazz and drink wine in the grass.
This was our first date spot. Cozy, no-frills, excellent food and bartenders.
Great Cuban food
One of Richmond's best craft breweries. Famous for their Gingerbread Stout series, but the full lineup is great.
Richmond has too many breweries. The Veil does serious IPA's (some too serious for their own good), but also a number of fruit Sours that are excellent.
This is where we went on our second date. The last date we both went on as single folk.
Neighborhood pub down the street from our old apartment.
For the more adventurous folks who might enjoy a bar dedicated to Richmond's hometown heroes GWAR, a metal band comprised of aliens from outerspace who are here to destroy humanity.
Smoothies for the health crowd. Good spot to start/end a walk through one of the more beautiful areas in the city.
Hip spot for high end, local seafood with Chesapeake flavor.
Site of a long lost dive bar, Baja Bean Company, is now a wine bar with great food and one of the best patios in the Fan.
