We're getting married!!!

Alex and Cathy found each other on the dating app, Hinge, and met at The Machine in Chicago, a cocktail bar, for their first date. Alex remembers thinking ordering the octopus was a bold move! And Cathy remembers the conversation flowed, and suggested an Irish pub up the street for a night cap. More dates followed; grabbing dinner, going dancing at The Owl, and visiting the Art Institute. It didn't take long for the spark to catch flame! The two became inseparable.

Alex and Cathy had been looking for an opportunity for both their parents to meet in person. They were thrilled Brenda and Marc came to Chicago in July for the Geraghty Family Fundraiser, Doreen's Outing! Discussions started about getting Diane and Dan to Maine in October. Dates were set and everyone looked forward to a great get together in Maine. On the 2nd day of the trip, we all planned to go hiking. Kettle Cove was the first stop (and last, little did Cathy know). Kettle Cove is beautiful! And one of Cathy and Alex's favorite spots in Cape. The view from the rocks is incredible! Once we got to the edge, Alex asked to take a picture with Cathy and in that moment, Alex got down on one knee and asked Cathy to marry him! She said yes! Later that day, there was a FUN & joyous engagement party with friends and family hosted by Marc and Brenda!
