Alex and Carolyn met through the app OKCupid, where Alex's first message to Carolyn was about their shared enthusiasm for the British game show, Taskmaster. Their first date was at JoJo's Creamery in Encinitas on June 4, 2022. It went so well that halfway through, Carolyn had to stop to buy more sunscreen and reapply so they could keep talking.

Alex and Carolyn adopted their Boston Terrier, Pookie, on June 26th, 2023. Pookie has one blue and and one brown eye, and loves absolutely everyone. Alex and Carolyn are so grateful to share their home with an amazing Pook like her.
