We first met in November 2019 at a homemade sushi party while attending BYU. Brynn almost didn't show up (she hated sushi at the time) but decided to go anyway. A few weeks later, we went on our first date to a ramen restaurant. Life took us in different directions for a while. Alex graduated from BYU with a degree in Economics in April 2021 and dove into medical school and an MBA program that August. In February 2022, we reconnected and went on our "second" first date to see Hamilton. By August, we were officially dating! In May 2023, Brynn graduated from BYU with her Marketing degree and began working in Lehi, UT. The following spring, Alex wrapped up his MBA. In the fall of 2024, he completed two incredible medical internships at Johns Hopkins and Yale - with Brynn visiting him at both. On March 19, 2025, Alex proposed, and Brynn said yes! Two days later, we found out Alex matched to an Internal Medicine residency in Vancouver, Washington. We’ll be moving there following our wedding on May 29th, 2025! Along the way, we've transformed each other in small but meaningful ways. Brynn went from sushi-avoider to sushi-enthusiast, while Alex discovered life's greatest joy of petting stray cats and drinking Diet Coke. We've traveled all across the United States, hiked mountains (sometimes with Brynn needing a little convincing), watched countless movies, tried new foods, and taught each other new skills—chess for Brynn, painting for Alex. We’re so excited to start this new chapter together and are incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve received from family and friends. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
