When Brandon proposed, Alex and Brandon were house sitting for a good friend while they were on vacation. Alex had just finished a long day at work, exhausted, and had to take a final exam online before turning in for the night. Brandon stared nervously at her the whole time as she was focused on the computer. Watching her, exhausted, try and concentrate on the exam he pondered whether or not it was the right time. Was it the right time? A question he had thought about for a very long time. He had asked, and received, blessings for marriage already from Alex's parents. Her nana had given him her wedding ring two years prior and he had been waiting for the perfect moment. The right time. Finally, she finished her final exam. When she exclaimed that she had gotten an A, he congratulated her and watched her settle into the couch. A pile of lab puppies crawled into her lap for a snooze. Brandon continued to stare and ponder, was it the right time? Finally, he said, "You are finally sitting still. Do you know how hard it is to propose to you when you are constantly moving?" Alex thought thought a second how true his statement was. When she looked back down at him on the floor, he was holding out her Nana's ring. "Will you marry me?"
