The First Date
After meeting online Alex and Branden's first date was on September 30th, 2016, which will be seven years exactly on their wedding day! They met at a bar in Williamsville, NY called The Irishman which had live music. The music was so loud that Alex couldn't hear anything Branden said, but she thought he was cute so she just smiled and nodded when he talked.
You're Moving to Florida? Me Too!
Shortly after Branden and Alex met they learned that their time in Buffalo was getting cut short. Branden was moving down to Lake Wales to start the golf season at Mountain Lake. He was surprised to learn that Alex too was moving down to the sunshine state to work at Disney. Just a few weeks after their first date they moved down separately, but it didn't take too long for them to go on another date and the rest is history.
The Engagement
Ever since she was little Alex has loved to look at Christmas lights during the holidays. Right before Christmas Branden planned a night with friends to go to the Enchant Christmas Light Display at the Nationals’ Stadium. While being surrounded by millions of Christmas lights Branden got down on one knee and asked the most important question "What hand do I put it on?" Assuming that meant Will you marry me?… Alex said “YES!”
Why Nashville?
The number one question on everyone's mind! With Branden being from Florida, Alex from New York and both currently living in Maryland they knew that their wedding would be a destination wedding for most of their guests. Going back and forth between locations they decided why not meet right in the middle in one of the most exciting cities. With Branden’s love of bourbon and Alex’s love of country music, Nashville was the perfect fit!
