Our story began 10 and a half years ago...despite Alex and Bianca growing up in the same town and even going to high school together for one year, it took years for them to finally hit it off. When she was a freshman, Alex was Bianca's senior crush. Little did she know, the cliche "good things come to those who wait" couldn't have been more relevant than it is here. Even though they had mutual friends from high school, it took two years and a friend giving Bianca’s BBM pin to Alex for him to finally make a move. Alex couldn't resist adding Bianca and reaching out to her, but typical Bianca had to play hard to get and showed no interest in him. Finally after months went by, she gave in and agreed to a first date. After canceling and rescheduling to a school night to the dismay of Bianca (and her mother), Alex finally got to show Bianca that he was more than just cool cars and tattoos, and the rest was history!

Bianca always had a timeline for when she would get married. She knew she wanted to finish her undergraduate work, find a job, and work for a year as a teacher before she planned a wedding. Alex was always happy to follow her rules, so when all of these boxes were checked he knew it was time to plan his engagement. For Bianca’s 25th birthday, they went on a trip to one of their favorite places, the Catskills. After days of excursions, they were planning on taking a scenic hike. However, after walking three miles in the wrong direction, being covered in dirt and bugs, and Alex acting weird all day, Bianca had had enough of that day. It wasn’t until they came across a beautiful overlook with a waterfall that her spirits lifted. Alex asked a stranger for a picture and when she turned around, Bianca was in shock to see him on one knee! With tears in her eyes she said yes and after nearly 10 years together, this couple was finally on the path to getting married. They spent another day together in the Catskills and were greeted with a surprise party from friends and family when they returned home!
