Alex & Beaver

Once upon a frosty December eve, an impatient hungry girl met a Beaver for dinner. The food was good, the conversation was better. 

They became fast friends while Alex navigated Albany and Beaver moved to KY. Shortly thereafter, Alex decided to pursue her dream of van life, so she packed up her life and her dog and headed to KY to convert the van.

The first home Alex & Beaver shared was a 10x12 tent with their 3 dogs: Guinness, Rosie, and Luci. In the midst of tornado season, they moved into the freshly built out van in hopes they wouldn’t blow away in the middle of the night. Sharing a small unconventional space with no A/C, in temperatures much hotter than you’re used to, you really get to know a person. It was kind of like Survival, patience and trust pushed to the max; some might even consider it premarital boot camp. 

A tent, a van, a house, 3 dogs, hundreds of chickens and ducks, two rabbits, and countless projects later, Alex & Beaver have become quite the adventurous pair.
