Laney Trepanier

Maid of Honor

Laney and I met at Purdue University. It was love at first laugh, when Laney came over to check on me because she thought I was crying in the dorm room next to hers, but I was laughing ... true story, don't try to imagine the sound. Fast friends, then roommates, then soulmates (besides Alex). It's hard to measure the love and memories we have together in a few sentences. Through the years and miles between us, Laney is the truest and most sincere and loyal friend I've ever had, and I know it will be that way for all our years to come. She goes above and beyond for me, has done nothing but support my relationship and dreams, and I couldn't imagine anyone else to be my maid of honor.

Luke Carpenter

Best Man

There aren't enough words to explain why Luke is my best man. Luke and I met when I was 2 years and 8 days old. We are different in every way, but aren't all brothers? Luke and I spent every waking moment playing Nintendo together growing up. From beating Mario brothers together to buying our first xbox together. I miss him every day i'm down here in Alabama and can't wait to have him beside me on the big day.

Kelly Bess

Bridesmaid

Kelly is my Alabama bestie! We met and we INSTANTLY clicked when I got my first job after moving to Alabama. Whiskey after work got the conversation flowing, and we've never stopped talking since. Alex thinks we talk circles around him, and its true. We talk about every under the sun, and she was the first person that I told after Alex purposed. Kelly was a major part of Alabama feeling like home. I smile every time I see her and we will always lift each other up.

Chad Miller

Groomsman

I may only have one biological brother, but Chad is my Brother in every other way. He moved to Rochester after our AAU basketball team beat his (maybe not true). We weren't friends right away, but something about fatty just grows on you. He's always asked me the right question at the right time. Whether I was going through a hard time, or had good things happen, Chad always remembered to ask me about it. People like that are hard to find these days, and friends like that are nearly impossible to find.

Adrienne Thompson

Bridesmaid

Adrienne! My little ray of sunshine! Adrienne and I have known each other since middle school, but we really bonded solid during our college years. She's one of the most genuine and positive people that I ever met, and I always can't wait to be reunited with her. We can go weeks without talking (because adult life if busy) but we will always pick up like no time has passed, and we both know that we will always be there for the other. She is so silly and happy, and I couldn't image my wedding day without a friend like that standing up with me.

Cahner Thompson

Groomsman

Cahner and I became good friends through basketball and hanging out with the same friend circle. Whether it was battling for the 3 spot on the basketball team or seeing who could make it the longest while hanging out at Nate's house (Definitely "Frank the Tank"). Cahner is one of 3 guys who I became such great friends with throughout high school and will never forget. 99% of our memories are things I probably shouldn't write on here, and those are the ones I wish I could the most. He never turns down a good time with friends and is always there to talk about anything you need to talk about. He's also that guy who can make anyone laugh in any situation. I can actually hear his voice now "I bet you won't do it Carl." I did do it by the way.. whatever stupid thing that was.

Jessica Riffle

Bridesmaid

Jess is my oldest friend. We met in the 2nd grade. Most of my childhood memories contain her. We played lots of beauty shop in my bedroom, went tubing and camping together, and uncountable hours in the water together on the swim team. We would even count for each other how many times the other's crush would look at them during class. That's third grade friendship for ya. We stayed that close until it was time to go off to college, and then decided to take on Purdue as roommates. It was like a sleepover with your best friend every night, with lots of laughing, Gilmore Girls, and snacks (we love snacks). She's always been there to support me and watch every big event in my life. Even after all the years and now our distance since I've moved, I know Jess is my forever friend.

Nathan Basham

Groomsman

Words can not express how I feel for this guy. He tries to kiss me everytime I see him.. maybe that explains it? I remember being on the basketball court in 7th grade and Dakota and Nate were about to leave. For some reason they stopped and asked if I wanted to come hangout. I remember calling my then girlfriend and being so excited and asking her if it was okay because we were supposed to hangout. It was a yes. And from then on I spent almost every single weeknd of 8th - 12th grade hanging out with Nate, Cahner, Chad, and Sean. I'm not sure if you have met the Basham family, but if not then you're missing out. Just happy awesome people. Nate will be someone I talk to until the day one of us dies. I guarantee if he is at my funeral he tries to get people to take shots.

Katie Martin

Bridesmaid

I met KP (formally Katie Parker, so she is still "KP" to me) at Purdue when I met Laney. They were roommates, so her, Laney, Jess, and I quickly bonded in the dorms. She was adventurous and witty, while still being the mother-hen of our group. KP is easy to spill your guts to, and she will give you the right answer to your problems, whether you want to hear it or not. She's a straight arrow, but she is light hearted and can make every situation funny. We spent so many college nights together just doing whatever we wanted, but they were always fun with KP. She's a beautiful person, and knowing she is my friend and will always be that kind of friend to me is the best.

Chris Messersmith

Groomsman

This guy and I have been friends for... just a few years. We lived a few houses apart for years and even in the womb at one point. He is the person I have kept in touch with the most. Him moving down here really changed a lot for me. I had hardly any friends and definitely no friends with the same interests. Little did I know Chris also wanted to escape the small town life. Now he's here and one of the best programmers we have. I am so lucky to have a friend like him. Someone I know I can trust to come through for me when I need them the most. I remember talking to him a few weeks ago and he said, "Dude, how did we get here?" I couldn't answer, and he kept explaining everything he overcame to get here. I'm proud of him for that, and to have him as my groomsman.

Sean Barker

Groomsman

Sean and I almost made it through highschool without being friends (Runescape doesn't count). We ended up moving in together as Sophomores at IPFW. I hardly ever left my room because of Halo, but when I did Sean was always there smiling and having a good day. It seemed impossible to really make Sean mad. I remember getting wokeup to him singing some random country nonsense and playing guitar. Or his classic single "Trucks" (Not sure if that's on iTunes). Sean is also the only person who I have gotten in trouble with. I swear we had some great times in that underage drinking class. Sean is someone I always want there with me. He gives great advice and always does what he can for his friends. I should have spent less time in my room and more time with him during college.
