It's October 24, 2019. Aramis and Alex, are in the car with their boss driving to the district office for a meeting. Alex, ever so smooth, leans in between the front seats, looking Aramis in the eyes, says "by the way, I'm single." Aramis asks, "Why are you telling me this?" At the staff Christmas party two months later, Alex tried to use her smooth moves to woo Aramis again. But, she unfortunately pulled what she usually does at weddings, which is to consume too much liquids that aren't water :) March 2020 when, if you haven't heard, a pandemic happened. Alex + Aramis started walking at Lake Padden, a 3 mile hiking loop. They would often walk 2-3 times around, talking for hours. Alex would subtly drop hints. Aramis would so smoothly dodge the questions. A YEAR later, in May, Aramis' ankle "hurt" too much but he offered to make margaritas at Alex's. After their first kiss that night, the first thing Aramis says is, "this is complicated." The rest is history...and it's not that complicated :) Aramis proposed on a Monday night three years to the date later from when Alex said that first awkward thing in the car.
