Well...it kinda started before that...with our own prayers and those of friends. We'd both asked Jehovah to bring someone into our lives. With our shy personalities, there was no other way to meet someone Thankfully we have friends who knew each of us well. They prayerfully and patiently tried to nudge us towards each other; but it wasn't until we truly felt ready to know someone that we finally agreed to an introduction. Mutual friends gave us a safe place and dynamic to meet (in their home). We hit it off and our hearts have been singing ever since, as we've had Jehovah's reassurance, seeing prayers answered in one another. Prayer and worship of Jehovah have been a fundamental part of our relationship - helping us to consider the needs of one another. What a joy and what a comfort to find someone with the same goals and mindset. To easily have serious conversations and just as easily laugh with one another is like finding an oasis in the desert. Time again we've seen Jehovah answer prayers and open the way for a life together The (physical) distance between us was a definite challenge, but with the support of our spiritual family, we've received good advice, been given quality time to spend together in an honorable way. With the time it took to truly know our feelings, balancing those feelings with reality, it felt natural to finally openly admit our love for one another. It was a big surprise having a proposal the following week! (October 19, 2024) All this, almost a year from first meeting each other. With 8 weeks to plan our wedding, we continue to see Jehovah's hand in all our preparations and support we're receiving 🤩 We look forward to sharing our special day with you!
