We're tying the knot!

After matching on a dating app we decided to meet for a first date at a coffee shop. It was a hot afternoon in August 2023, and after ordering drinks we learned neither of us even liked coffee. In that cafe a connection sparked, and we decided to pursue it to see where it would take us. From spending holidays together to attending sisters' weddings, to date nights around San Jose, our relationship continued to blossom. Amy has been salsa dancing for fun since college, and Alex expressed an interest to learn, so she introduced him to Alberto's Nightclub. We returned to Alberto's one night in May 2025 where Alex had coordinated a proposal at the end of the salsa lesson. Naturally, it came as a huge surprise, but Amy said yes, and our small group enjoyed cake and champagne to celebrate.
