Allie grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland, and Alex just two hours away in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. They both graduated from University of Delaware but never met, despite taking the same accounting class. Alex and Allie’s paths were always close, but finally crossed at Vanguard (Alex remembered Allie from accounting). Living in Philadelphia, they began to see more of each other. Their mutual friends, Malcolm and Kara often brought the group together for dinners, nights out in Philly, and weekly Game of Thrones watch parties at Alex’s house. Their friendship grew into something more in the fall of 2016. Since then, they’ve created a wonderful life together. They moved to Chicago in June 2020 and brought home Gracie – their beloved dog. After five years together, Alex and Allie got engaged on a trip to Portugal. After a long pandemic they’re so excited to get married and celebrate with their closest friends and family this fall.
