We're finally getting married!

It all began when Aaron accompanied Alex’s cousin Cale to swim at her Grammy’s house in 2008. Unfortunately, the fact that Alex was only 8 and Aaron was 9 and completely oblivious proved to be a bit of an obstacle. Things picked up in the year of 2013, quite frankly sparks ignited, when Aaron and Alex went on a school sponsored trip to our nation’s capital. The trip ended with an 8-hour layover in the Denver airport, there was flirting. There were even a couple of pictures where they stood shoulder to shoulder, leaving Alex very hopeful for their future. Unfortunately, Aarons obliviousness persisted through his 14th year of life eventually forcing Alex to take matters into her own hands a year later. The opportunity presented itself after a stellar performance at a JV football game in 2014 by none other than #4, Mr. Aaron Huckins. Alex seized the moment by sending the ever risky Facebook message of “You did great tonight!!! Nice touchdown!!!!!!!”, The gamble paid off when Aaron responded “Thank you!!:) haha”. As I’m sure it is obvious by now, our romance was off and running. After an exhilarating week of flirtations over Facebook messenger, we made it official the night of September 25th 2014 at the homecoming bonfire after a very nervous Aaron obtained permission to be Alex’s boyfriend from her dad Clay. Through their moms driving them on dates, to finally passing their drivers tests, to proms, to arranging their classes to be together, and being swim team teammates, Alex and Aaron became a fixture in the hallways and went on to be a GHS power couple for their remaining years in Guymon High School. They took their love to Stillwater Oklahoma, where they both completed degrees from Oklahoma State University, and added two babies Dottie and Gus (don’t worry they’re dogs, you didn’t miss anything). Now after almost 8 years together, it’s the union you’ve all been waiting for, the wedding you knew would happen eventually, Alex and Aaron ARE GETTING MARRIED!
