Alex and her friend Kelly were wandering about the campus during orientation when they stumbled across a free T-shirt line and thought "score! free stuff!". As they were approaching, they saw two cute guys in the back of the line (Alex & his roommate Evan). Alex (Gerdisch) turned around and instantly locked eyes with Alex (Barone), while they each said "Hi, I'm Alex!" at the same time! Talk about an ice breaker. The two of them instantly hit it off, which was good because the line was very long! The Alex's, Kelly, and Evan became a little family while they explored the highs and lows of college life together. Kelly & Evan are now in the wedding party 10 years (and 1 month) later!

Alex & Alex always talked about "moving to California one day"... but Alex (Barone) will admit that she never thought it would actually happen. After college the two decided to take the leap and move across the country to San Jose, CA. This was the start of many new beginnings. Alex (Gerdisch) was starting a new job in tech, while Alex (Barone) was starting her first year of chiropractic school. While in San Jose they met friends who would change the way they lived their lives. They introduced Alex & Alex to the world of camping, trail running, tide-pooling, plant-based cooking, and living every day with a hunger for adventure. After Alex graduated from chiropractic school the duo moved to the coast (Santa Cruz, CA), where they enjoy rock climbing, trails, paddle boarding, and pot lucks with friends.

The day started off with their weekly trip to the farmers market. Alex (Gerdisch) held the bags while Alex (Barone) wandered from tent to tent gathering local fruits & veggies. After the market they stopped by their favorite restaurant for breakfast sandwiches before a big day at the rocks. Once they arrived to Castle Rock State Park they met up with their friends Kelly & Zach for a day of climbing! Two hours later Alex (Barone) is dangling 50ft in the air waiting to be lowered to the ground, when Alex (Gerdisch) secretly signals Zach to get his camera rolling. Once her feet were securely on the ground Alex got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She said YES as he placed the most beautiful blue sapphire ring on her chalky hand.
