Depending on who you ask you may get a different story as to how we met. To spare the details of how I was behaving a Saturday night in my early 20's, I accidentally fell off a barstool into Sean. I needed to think of something quick to say, trying to be smooth, I started with "Hi, my name's Alexa". Sean would say that I noticed him first and devised a plan to fall into him. Regardless, it happened and after that night the rest is history.

Memorial Day Weekend 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, we got together with friends both old and new in Palm Springs for a weekend of sun, pool, and lots of alcohol. I have to admit it's the best weekend of the year and has become a tradition. Fast forward to Memorial Day 2021, same house, same people. Before the trip, my bestie Katie mentioned checking out the gondola ride in Palm Springs. I reminded her of a time two years prior that Sean rode a gondola in the Alps in Germany and was sick as a dog by the time we got to the top. Heights are simply not Sean's thing. In typical Alexa fashion, I asked Sean anyway if he would be interested in the gondola and to my surprise he said yes (I should have known something was fishy). We made it to Palm Springs and that Saturday evening we all rode the gondola to the top, which had such a beautiful view. Mitch offered to take a photo of Sean and I and next thing I know, Sean is down on one knee. Easiest YES ever :) We rode down the gondola singing songs the attendant played and went to a fantastic dinner to follow. It was truly the best!
