Alexa and Nick met at Heinen’s during Alexa’s senior year of high school. After working together for about a year, Nick asked Alexa out on a date. Their very first date was in June of 2019, when they went to the movies to see Aladdin. From that night on, everything just clicked. That summer was filled with fun adventures — nights spent exploring downtown Cleveland, enjoying local parks and showing each other their favorite ice cream locations. When fall arrived, Alexa began her freshman year of college, and despite busy schedules and new routines, their connection only grew stronger. On September 28, 2019, Nick officially asked Alexa to be his girlfriend, marking the start of their beautiful journey together. Over the years, they both graduated from college, began their careers, and continued to build a life rooted in love and shared dreams. After six wonderful years together, on December 23, 2025, Nick excitedly asked Alexa to marry him, beginning of their next chapter!

The Proposal Story After spending the afternoon with friends, Alexa had no idea that Nick had quietly been preparing something special behind the scenes. On an unusually warm December day in Ohio, Alexa was brought to Penitentiary Glen (thank you Amelia and Madeleine for making me change out of sweatpants), where the peaceful scenery of the winter season created the perfect backdrop. A candle-lit walkway stretched ahead, with Nick waiting as Alexa walked towards their forever together. After Nick popped the question and Alexa said, 'yes!', they spent the rest of the day sharing the news with family, calling close relatives and friends, and enjoying the holiday events basking in the love and excitement of those around them. What began as an ordinary winter day became a memory they will cherish forever.
