We met at work in 2016 but didn't have many interactions until years later. We hit it off at an after-work event in November 2019, and we were immediately able to be ourselves, open up to one another, and share our goofy sides without shame. Our first official date was a concert at MilkBoy in Philly, where we saw one of our favorite bands. We thought it would be the start of many date nights like that, but the pandemic began shortly after and our dates for the next year were primarily at home. We both look back at that time with gratitude for having one another in such a difficult period. When we could have felt isolated and alone, we were building the foundation of a strong relationship and sharing experiences with one another that many couples at that stage do not always get to have. Our relationship immediately felt natural and easy. We bonded over our weirdness, music taste, and world views, and although we had only known each other a short time, it felt like we had already spent many years together. In February 2021 we adopted our dog Fox, who quickly became our greatest love and obsession, and moved in together in August of that year. We have experienced so much together since then—highs, lows, and everything in between—and have found such strength and comfort in our love for each other. We cannot wait for all that is to come in the years ahead and are so excited to celebrate our love with all of you!
