We privately eloped in San Diego in Spring 2026 and chose to celebrate in a more nontraditional way. This weekend will focus on good food, music, and time with the people we love most.
**Friday:** Embrace a classy casual aesthetic with comfort in mind. **Saturday:** Dressy attire in earth tones and fall colors. Please avoid all white or all black outfits, denim, ball caps, and athletic wear. A white shirt or black pants paired with other colors is completely fine. This is an entirely outdoor venue, with gravel, mulch, dirt, and grass, so plan footwear accordingly. We recommend layering to stay warm as the evening cools. Weather permitting, expect clear skies and dry conditions, with highs in the mid- to upper-60s and lows around mid-40s.
We've decided to keep our wedding weekend as an adults-only celebration. The only exception is our close family members who have teenage children—they'll be joining us.
Dinner will be provided on Friday (light fare) and Saturday (full catered meal). If you’re camping with us onsite, light breakfast will be provided on Saturday and Sunday.
For Friday’s welcome party, we will have limited canned beverages available; please feel free to bring your own bottle or pack of drinkable treats. On Saturday, we will offer a full open bar throughout the weekend, featuring beer, wine, spirits with classic mixers, and a selection of featured pre-mixed cocktails. Of course, you're also welcome to bring anything of your own particular taste if you'd like to enjoy it.
Our venue is nestled within a scenic, hilly forest setting with beautiful views of nearby Lake Cumberland. You'll find all the essential amenities, including flushing bathrooms, running water, showers, fire rings for campfires, gravel driveways, and ample car parking. The grounds also feature marked hiking trails and numerous other conveniences to enhance your experience. We’ve rented the entire property’s 50+ acres for the weekend. However, please note there are a few semi-permanent RV residents on site, but they will be aware of our celebrations and the property has ensured us they will be out of sight and mind.
We get wet! However, October is the driest time of year in the area.
Please visit the “Travel” section of our website to find the closest airports, respective drive times from them, and lodging options.
We would never invite our family and friends anywhere we didn't feel was safe. Our rural Kentucky venue is welcoming to us in our most authentic selves, and we've found the locals to be respectful and private. We've also reserved the entire property, which allows us to create a comfortable, inclusive environment for everyone throughout the weekend. As with traveling anywhere in the United States, we simply recommend exercising standard travel precautions when arriving, departing, and venturing outside the venue.
