How do I book my boat?

When should I arrive on the island?

Answer

The welcome event starts Thursday evening, we would suggest arriving Thursday morning/afternoon to give yourself plenty of time to get checked into your accommodation before the Welcome Party at 7PM. Please make sure you book your boat accordingly!

Can I rent a golf cart for the weekend?

Answer

Unfortunately, there are no golf cart rental companies on the island that rent more than 2 hours at a time max. You can get to Descanso beach by taxi or via Curcuit (see our Travel & Transportation page for more details).

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black Tie Optional: Formal attire is encouraged, but not required. Guests may choose to wear a tuxedo or evening gown, or opt for a dark suit and tie for men and a formal cocktail dress for women. Please note that our ceremony will take place on grass, so block heels are recommended! Please note: the ceremony will take place on grass. So avoid the stilettos! We also recommend bringing a jacket. Our ceremony will take place outside, but our cocktail hour and reception will be inside.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts to ensure you’re settled and ready for the big moment. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM. Since daylight savings time begins the weekend before, we’ve set the earlier time to ensure we can say our vows before it gets dark!

Can I drive a golf cart to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! There is a parking lot right behind the terrace lawn (by the zipline check in). Keep in mind that rental companies on the island only rent carts for a max of 2 hours, but if your AirBnb rental comes with one, feel free to drive it to the ceremony.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Because the Descanso Beach club is so close to downtown Avalon, we will not have organized transportation. If you prefer to take transportation, you can call a taxi. Fares are flat rates or you can run the meter upon request. You can call the dispatch booth to order a taxi at 310-510-0025. You can also book rides to and from anywhere within Avalon's city limits (including Hamilton Cove) via the Circuit App. Downloading the Ride Circuit app. More info is available on the travel and transportation page.

As much as we love your little ones, to give our guests the opportunity to let loose and celebrate, the weekend will be adults only.
